We started operations in the 1940s with the regions first small tea estate at a time when the industry was dominated by large holdings. We have since pioneered the tea industry forward by starting the first modern factory of the bought leaf sector, a cooperative movement which enabled the mushrooming of small tea growers in the Nilgiris. The bought leaf method enabled small growers to utilise independent factories to manufacture their tea rather than investing in their own equipment, something that would have been out of reach for a vast majority of small growers. In 2004 we branched out into boutique experiential holidays, designed for like minded people looking for exclusivity and for something different from a regular hotel or a resort.
