HOW TO MAKE FISH FRY IN BANANA LEAF
This fry is perfectly matched for a variety of rice like ghee rice, coconut rice, jeera rice and is the best side dish for meals . It looks very colorful and spicy. Here are the ingredients below to prepare the deep fried fish.
INGREDIENTS:
- Ginger garlic paste,
- Lemon juice,
- Garam masala,
- Salt,
- Pepper powder,
- Turmeric powder,
- Chili powder,
- Oil as required,
- Onion paste,
- Water,
- Cardamom,
- Cloves,
- Cinnamon,
- Tomato Sauce,
- Coconut milk.
RECIPE:
- Wash the fish 2 to 3 times with turmeric powder, it keeps from the bad smell of fish. Turmeric powder is very hygienic.
- Take a bowl and put chili powder, lemon juice, salt, Turmeric powder , Pepper powder, Mix the ingredients with water. Coat the paste on the outside and inside of the fish. Add salt if needed.
- Heat the pan, put some oil as required and add 2 Cardamom, Cloves , Cinnamon, Ginger garlic paste, use the small onion for the flavor, tomato sauce, salt, turmeric powder and chili powder as required , mix it well for the deep fry. Add a cup of coconut milk. For the best flavor.
- The next step is folding the fish and fry. Heat the banana leaf to fold easily and to make crispy fried fish . Add the prepared masala on the banana leaf and fish. Cover the fish pieces with the banana leaf tightly. Cover and cook for 10 minutes on medium flame. Then cook each side of the fish in a medium flame for 5 minutes.
- This dish is also called kerala fish fry and Meen polichathu . Now the pan fried fish is ready to serve.
