Yummy Crispy French Fries Recipe!!!



  • 2 large potatoes or 3 small medium size potatoes
  • 3 and 1 ½ cups of Cold water (1 cup measures 250 ml)
  • Dry mixed herbs or oregano or rosemary è as required
  • Salt for taste (can prefer rock salt or black salt according to your wish)
  • Red chili powder as required
  • Oil for deep frying



  • Wash & rinse the potatoes well and peel them
  • Slice the potatoes with 1 cm thickness and remove the top & bottom part of the potatoes to get a rectangle or square shaped one
  • Cut the sliced potatoes like thin crayons with 1 cm width
  • Rinse the cut potatoes for a couple of times in water to get rid of the starch in it
  • Dip those potatoes in a bowl containing 3 and a ½ cups of cold water
  • Refrigerate this bowl for 30 to 45 minutes
  • After 30 to 45 minutes of refrigerating, drain the potatoes
  • Rinse the potatoes in running water and drain t o
  • Place all the drained potatoes in a cotton kitchen napkin
  • Pat and dry the potatoes by placing them on the 2nd half of the napkin and pressing it
  • When the potatoes are completely dry, they are ready to fry


Frying method   

  • Heat oil in a frying pan to a medium heat
  • Fry the potatoes in a medium flame throughout
  • Stir often until the potatoes are half fried
  • Drain the oil and stack the half fried potatoes in 3 to 4 paper kitchen towels
  • Now increase the flame and fry those half fried  potatoes & stir often
  • Fry until crisp and golden brown
  • Drain and place all the potato stripes in a bowl
  • Sprinkle the French fries with salt, pepper or red chili flakes  or dry herbs or rosemary
  • Gently shake the bowl to get all the sprinkled ingredients to mix well
  • Now the Yummy crispy French fries is ready to be served


Serve the Yummy Crispy French Fries with Hot & Sweet Tomato sauce!!!
